About this piece
A bold maximalist reimagining of a Van Gogh self-portrait, where vibrant blooms — sunflowers, poppies, and wildflowers — replace the face entirely, with two painted butterflies taking flight above. The figure's iconic red beard and textured jacket remain, rendered in expressive brushwork against a soft lilac background. This colourful collage-style artwork blends classical portraiture with surreal floral illustration, making it a striking statement piece for any eclectic or art-lover's space.
