About this piece
A vibrant reproduction of Wassily Kandinsky's Gewebe (1923), one of his celebrated Bauhaus-era compositions. The work features an energetic interplay of geometric forms — triangles, circles, arcs, and diagonal lines — rendered in bold primary colours of blue, red, yellow, and orange against a pale ground, with softer muted tones weaving throughout. The composition exemplifies Kandinsky's maximalist approach to abstract art: layered shapes, crossing lines, and rhythmic tension that evoke both visual music and structural complexity. A striking statement piece for lovers of early modernism and abstract expressionism.
