About this piece
A striking reproduction of Wassily Kandinsky's Frohlicher Aufstieg (1923), one of his celebrated Bauhaus-era compositions. The work features an energetic arrangement of geometric forms — circles, arcs, diagonal lines, and angular shapes — rendered in coral red, black, grey, pale yellow, and sage green against a white ground. The dynamic interplay of floating elements conveys a sense of joyful ascent, characteristic of Kandinsky's abstract visual language during his time at the Bauhaus. Bold diagonals cut across layered forms, creating movement and rhythm across the composition. This poster suits a gallery wall, studio, or living space with a modernist or maximalist aesthetic.
